Schools, colleges shut from Aug 14 for Ramadan
Dhaka, Aug 12 (bdnews24.com) – The government has decided to shut all schools and colleges and educational institutions of similar levels from Aug 14, on account of Ramadan and the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
Subodh Dhali , senior information officer of the education ministry, told bdnews24.com about the decision on Thursday.
The ministry announced in a press release that all schools and colleges will be closed form Aug 14 to Sept 16, with madrasaes shut till Sept 19.
Classes and examinations will resume after the vacation according to the syllabus.
The decision comes in the backdrop of a request from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police chief AKM Shahidul Hoque on Sunday to shut all schools and colleges from the 10th day of Ramadan to cut traffic jam in the city.

ReplyDeleteEvery year this college do this. This year students give exam in the month of Ramadan. It's too much injustice.
